Sue Austin at TEDxWomen 2012
Sue Austin talks about how her experience in a wheelchair has influenced her art and perspective on the world. She is a multimedia, performance, and installation artist with a socially-engaged practice shaped by and emerging from her experience of disability.
TEDxWomen was curated and produced by The Paley Center for Media. In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized.* (*Subject to certain rules and regulations)

Life is easy. Why do we make it so hard? | Enjoy the simple pleasures in life
#growthmindset #tanding #update
Enjoy the simple pleasures in life. Recently we found out one of our friends has a short time to live. We have watched their life completely be turned upside down. It almost makes one feel guilty for being healthy. I can’t justify why this isn’t me, all we can do is support them. All we can do is be reminded to make the most of each day we have. No one is promised tomorrow. And if you are healthy… you’d better thank God EVERY day and do your best to maintain it. ITS TRULY A GIFT!!!
